Bates is the Ultimate Wingman in the house.  He’s there as support for everyone.  Fletch is coming out of his shell and trying to reciprocate.  He will lick Bates on the face when Bates comes over as a response to Fletch’s singing episodes.  He hasn’t reached the point where he will do the same for Polly, and definitely not for Cali yet.  Baby steps, baby steps.

When Cali does not want to be ignored, you can expect her to get right in your personal space like this.  She could win any staring contest so don’t even waste your time.  I usually end up taking work calls in one hand and petting Cali or tossing her a toy with the other.

This sweet little boy may end up on a few of my Christmas cards next year.

In football season she has her own football and football jersey.  In basketball season she has her own basketball.  Tonight she has spent about 90 minutes chasing this and playing fetch with everyone around the room.

Cali wandered around the living room wearing the dog’s Santa hat and beard for almost an hour.  I think this settles it.  She is the most relaxed cat in the universe.  I’m really tempted to see if she will walk on a leash.  I have faith in her!  It would be nice to be able to take her outside more with us.

Bates is definitely the party animal of the bunch.  He likes to toss about in the fluffy and soft things in the house, and that includes this bed.  How did you celebrate welcoming a fresh new year?

He either loves the camera or completely turns away from it.  I have so many photos when he looks away or moves as I am taking the picture.  Then he does things like this where he sits next to his Dad all night like he is ready for a photo shoot.
